1. Introduction
EECC Wallet is a mobile application designed for securely storing and presenting digital identity credentials. It allows users to verify attributes such as age without disclosing unnecessary personal information. The app is currently in an experimental phase and intended primarily for research, development, and evaluation purposes.
2. Use of the App
By using the EECC Wallet app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.
3. Key Features
The EECC Wallet app offers the following functionalities:
a) Secure local storage of digital identity credentials (e.g., “Over 16”, “Over 18”).
b) Privacy-preserving presentation of credentials to third parties.
c) Identity verification via the eID function of supported personal ID cards.
Note: EECC Wallet does not support payments, loyalty card storage, or any form of financial transactions.
4. Privacy
We follow strict privacy-by-design principles. Personal data remains on your device and is not transmitted unless explicitly permitted by you during credential issuance. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, designs, and technology used in EECC Wallet are the intellectual property of their respective owners. Any unauthorized copying, distribution, or modification is strictly prohibited.
6. Acceptable Use
The app is provided solely for non-commercial, experimental, and research purposes. You agree not to misuse the app, tamper with its components, or present falsified credentials.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for damages or losses arising from the use of the EECC Wallet. This includes indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, as well as any unauthorized or failed verifications.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app or providing written notice. If you violate these terms, your access to the app may be suspended or terminated without notice. Upon termination, all copies of the app must be removed from your devices.
9. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Any updates take effect from the date they are published within the app. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms.
10. Severability Clause
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective. A legally valid replacement will apply that closely reflects the intent of the original provision.
